Hi Butch,

I stumbled onto this site because I wanted to see if you won the car.

I have no problem with rules, but I have a problem when rules take precedence over the people it serves or its purpose.

Those who uphold or make the rules can sometimes miss out on what is essential or really beneficial to the people.

Wisdom is the proper application of knowledge... and justice is achieved when wisdom is properly applied on rules and law.

Sometimes, someone has to be an advocate for the other side. It may not be the most popular/socially preferable/beneficial option, but if you care for something, you fight for it... no?

Sometimes to disagree is not to contradict, but a means to arrive at a better solution/compromise.

On a final note:

Some say that previous generations were religious but not really spiritual.

Nowadays, people are spiritual but not so religious.

Truth is where spirituality and religion is supposed to meet... for if God exists, all truth would point to his direction.

Poor teaching of theology fails to lead one to Truth via religion.
Spirituality with erroneous theology fails to lead one to any religion, much less real Truth.

Examples of popular truth systems: emotional/subjective truth, second hand/traditional/hearsay truth, temporal/physical truth

Now if only religion can be taught/exposed/repackaged as to reflect logical/mathematical truth... it has the potential to be adopted universally.

...that is when people will perceive the Bible to be more than fairy tales... but a plausible reflection of our reality.

emotion/personal relationship normally reels people in at first... the discovery of truth builds the foundation.

I hope you get your car... not hope as in probability hope... but Christian hope as in trusting in God's providence hope.

God bless Audrey!

Registered and voted, hope you win!

On another note, I enjoyed reading this entry. I don't exactly practice the faith wholeheartedly anymore, though the virtues and teachings are what I hold dear. As a human being, I believe the the guidelines I have grown up with are what keep me genuinely good, and hopefully a positive influence on others.

Cheers

P.S. I totally posted the wrong youtube video on your last entry. Hannah Montanna gets microwaved? The hell was I watchin... anyways, here is what I wanted you to see.
