respect the cube.
everyone likes free stuff. especially when that stuff is... let's say a free car.

the nissan cube
now a car, especially a pretty nifty car like the cube, is no small thing. so you can imagine the depths people will go to get themselves a set of car keys.
i can't lie... this car is definitely something i'd love to have. but there's a part of me that doesn't want to feel like i'm "selling my soul" to get into the drivers seat.
my current car is a 5-speend manual, which my wife isn't too comfortable driving, especially with my 3 month old bundle of daughter cuteness. so a cube (a free cube at that!) would definitely help us out.
so i established that there is an actual need for the cube, but i don't want to pay for it with that feeling of selling myself out. so being the researcher that i am i read the terms & conditions thoroughly on the Nissan cube website and tried to see what's really going so that i can get me one of these funky mobile devices.
so from what i can gather, in the end, Nissan wants me to be me.
thank God, because i'm awesome at being me! so that's the easy part. so... i have to find a way to get cubed by living out some of my core values. if Nissan wants me to be me, then i should be able to win with these two important things (let's call it my code of conduct):
- INTEGRITY - which is really just honesty. for me personally (this not a knock to anyone at all, it's just a personal thing), i can't see myself doing super crazy, outrageous things, or profess my dying love for a car on a youtube video, or making fun of other hypercubists to get into this car. what i am comfortable with is staying true to myself, and sticking with the gameplan that i've come up with to show my interest in winning.
if i win, thanks Nissan! if i lose, thanks Nissan for the creative challenge PLUS my own integrity is still intact. - CREATIVITY - my personal view is this... it's easy for me to go on my webcam and youtube it up with me saying how much i love the cube, and how far i'll go to get into one... so on and so on.
after thinking about what to do, i started to realize that the CUBE IS CHALLENGING MY CREATIVITY (as well as all the hypercubists.) so i'm looking at this contest as a really a challenge of my own personal creativity. how can Nissan notice me? and how far can i take this cube concept? that's the challenge, and that takes some thinking outside of the box cube.
i'll be honest with you... i don't know how unique and creative (and all the other buzz words that Nissan is using) i am compared to the other awesome 499 hypercubists. what i do know, is that i'm gonna try my hardest, stay focused, use what gifts and talents i have and the moment this isn't fun or challenging (in a positive way) anymore, then i'm gonna rethink this whole thing.

From one hypercubist to another.. Here, here.
