co-existence

why is there suffering in the world?

some philosphers believe that it is all part of the balance of the world. that good cannot exist without evil and vice versa. others might say that it's proof that God doesn't care. while another stands firm in believing that God is a god of punishment, so he inflicts his "revenge" on us because we deserve it.

i've learned recently why, and here's the jist of it:

where there is great suffering, there is an opportunity for greater love.

there's a whole slew of reasoning that i don't really want to get into as to why there is suffering. either for those who bring it upon themselves through their choices, and for those who knowingly or unknowingly inflict it upon others. regardless... God always gives us a way out.

all i can say without getting too lengthy, is that free will is a great thing. it's always your choice. and personally i'd recommend to choose love. everyone benefits.

p.s. sorry for being so incoherent. but i'm sure if you think about these issues, which seem like two different topics, i'm sure you'll find how they're connected.
